Customs Clerk (exportation) – Montreal

Under the supervision of the team leader, the Customs Clerk is responsible for customer service as well as coordinating the customs clearance of shipments. He or she communicates with the other departments as well as the customer and agents.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Customs clearance of shipments
  • Review shipment documentation
  • Tracking status of shipments
  • Customer service
  • Prepare customer reports and other documentation
  • Perform billing function including preparing customer invoices
  • Data entry
  • Supporting the team in various tasks

Required skills

  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience
  • High School Diploma
  • AEC or DEC in Logistics and transports an asset
  • Knowledge of the Customs and Logistics industry
  • Operational productivity, work organization
  • Anticipate needs and be proactive with customers and customer service
  • Problem solving, autonomy and good judgment
  • Good communicator and ability for teamwork
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
