Customs Self-Assessment Program (CSA)

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has introduced the Customs Self Assessment (CSA) program to give a progressive trade option to importers. The CSA program gives approved importers the benefits of a streamlined accounting and payment process for all imported goods. It also gives approved importers, approved carriers, and registered drivers the benefits of a streamlined clearance option for CSA eligible goods.

Many situations and commercial environments may benefit from the CSA program, for example; just in time transit logistics or customs compliance and documentation issues.
